Ambiance. That's ahm-bee-ahnts to you, and NoRTH, a busy, upscale bar and restaurant at the eastern edge of La Encantada, has it. It's got that used-brick, exposed-duct, wood-floor thing going that lets you imagine you're in a converted factory in lower Manhattan--if there were a third of the space and twice the people, anyway--and a buzz so hot, you know everybody's talking real estate. The restaurant terrace has a spectacular view of Tucson, but around on the bar side, you're looking at the mall. As if you cared: With its comfy patio furniture, low lighting, hip playlist and young clientele, the outside seating area belongs to people with eyes only for one another.
