You can spend hours combing through the stuff at Goodwill, Value Village and the like to find one or two impulsive mistakes that people made while clearing out their closets. Within the peacock-shaded walls of Preen are hundreds of such items for men and women—all kinds of garments and accessories, a handful of household things, and some pop-culture ephemera. The ambience wafting through Preen's abundance of light and air settles somewhere between steampunk and Weimar Republic as filtered through trail dust. The music playing overhead is worth a visit all by itself.
