Bookmans is not just a great place to teach your kids about the underground economy. It's also a great place to hear a story—and afterwards, put the kids to work on an arts-and-crafts project inspired by the tale they just heard. And once they're done with that, you can drive the staff crazy by letting your kids bang on the drums in the musical instrument section. JUST KIDDING! A much better alternative is letting the kids explore some of the used books and picking up a few to take home.
