Sullivan's bills itself as a "1940s Chicago-style steakhouse," and it is. Yet it is totally modern in style, substance and prices—but seriously, it's worth it. There are those out there who say, "Hell, I can cook four steaks at home for the price of one there." Actually, they can't. The beef here is quality stuff, and the preparation is divine. The fact that it is all served up in a hip, jazzy atmosphere only adds to the experience. The signature KC bone-in strip steak is luscious and lovely. Sides, too, are marvy, and the drinks and wine are all sophisticated hip. Plus, if you keep your eyes open, deals can be found.
