It's hard to think of El Charro without thinking of their world-famous carne seca. The kitchen leaves the meat hanging in racks above the downtown restaurant, so when you bite into it, you're actually tasting beef that's been flavored by the Tucson sun as well as an array of secret spices. It's perfect as an entree, in a burro or taco, scrambled in eggs or any other way you want to eat it. Just slather on that El Charro salsa and you've got one of Tucson's finest meals.
