STAFF PICK: The Tucson Urban League offers workshops for homeowners (and renters) on how to perform basic home repairs. Participants get to ask all the questions they can think of without one bit of hassle or embarrassment and with no sales pitch as part of the answer. Hands-on practice with the parts and tools will conquer almost anyone's fear of feeling clumsy. It's a great feeling to know how to start up a cooler or fix a dripping faucet! The fees for the workshops are on a sliding scale and support the Tucson Urban League in its effort to bring homeownership opportunities to more people in our community. Best of all, you don't have to step into a "big box" to take advantage of all this great information.
