Best Of Tucson®

Best Rock Music Station

KFMA 92.1 FM

Here's the definitive place to hear bands such as Tool, System of a Down and, most likely on the lunchtime '90s hour, Blind Melon. KFMA has been beaming alternative rock to Tucson from its station in Green Valley for more than a decade now, much to the appreciation of those who cringe at the Top 40 fluff offered by other stations popular with the under-30 set. KFMA also brought us the delightfully raunchy World Famous Frank Show and, at nights, the syndicated relationship-advice show LoveLine, with Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew Pinsky. They also have the KFMA Day concerts, previously featuring sets of nationally headlining bands including The Offspring, Jimmy Eat World and Unwritten Law, without charging wicked prices. Aside from one fluke year when KXCI took the title, KFMA has won the Best of TucsonTM category every time since 1996, and there's a reason for that.
