READERS' PICK: Before you've worn your Armani suit, Indian-print skirt, 6-inch red plastic heels or Carole Little outfit twice for the same audience, you know where to go for a fashion pick-me-up. By now an institution in town (and a veteran Readers' Pick), the Buffalo Exchange has somebody else's Armani suit, Indian print, 4-inch purple velvet mules, or Carole Little for wherever you need to be fashionably late. While the Tanque Verde store specializes in clothing for professional women, the Speedway location (just east of Campbell Avenue) buys and sells all manner of men's and women's wear, and has an expanding collection of new home and personal accessories: your Elvis, Versace, Barbie Doll and Wonder Woman mini-picture-books; temporary tattoos, feather boas in natural red and purple, faux-fur coin purses, Bolshevik Revolution lunch boxes, the indispensable Cootie Catcher, and vials of Angel Snot ("the gift of precious fluids"). Not to be missed.
