Once the home of Rutger and Bernice Porter, the Tucson Botanical Gardens are 5 ½ acres of responsibly grown plant life that are a refuge for us in the middle of our sometimes chaotic city. Since it is the desert, there are the lush beds of flowers and greenery that you might see in the gardens of other cities, but there are plenty of spots to enjoy what does grow well here and just relax for a bit.
