While all of the nonsmokers have been rejoicing and breathing deeply inside bars and restaurants since May 1, the few remaining tried-and-true smokers have been forced to retreat. Or to fall back on old mainstays, like Safehouse. It says "Smokes" on the window for good reason. Since Safehouse sells cigarettes--lots and lots of cigarettes--they get to enjoy a nice little loophole in this year's new indoor smoking ban that says if your business derives more than half of its income from cigarettes, folks can light up all they please. Because Safehouse just wouldn't be Safehouse without the smoke.
