How is it that a club located far from Tucson's nightlife hub can see a line 100 strong—outside, on even the hottest Wednesday night? The answer: There really is no better place to dance than Cactus Moon. People from all walks of life are in attendance, drinking and dancing their heads off. Wednesday is the famed Ladies Night, when girls get cheap drinks and a number slapped to their backs—and the woman judged to be the best at getting wild on the dance floor wins $100. The men, of course, follow the women, making the dance floor on Wednesday at the Moon certifiably insane. Club tracks play alongside country tracks; the drinks are reasonable; the atmosphere is welcoming; and the air conditioning usually works.
