For decades, Mount Lemmon has primarily accommodated three species: hikers, campers and tourists. Now, thanks to Mesquite Homes and the Live Acoustic Venue Association (LAVA), music-lover can be added to the list. Set up under a huge tent where the Alpine Lodge used to stand, MOTM now has two seasons under its belt of producing shows on Sundays from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. People have been turning out in droves to see the likes of Kevin Pakulis, the Crystal Ridge Bluegrass Band, the Last Call Girls and Chuck Wagon and the Wheelchairs. The music is free; there are food and beer vendors onsite; and the acoustics and ambience can't be beat.
