If you have ears and a sense of adventure, you'll find a musical temptation every week at the UA School of Music's Crowder Hall, September through May. If you don't have a lot to spend on a night on the town, this is the ticket: Most performances are free. Last year brought Trombones de Costa Rica, fully staged opera scenes, a thundering percussion ensemble, chamber music, and solo recitals of piano, bassoon and viola. Crowder Hall is an acoustic jewel box of a venue, and the paper programs handed out are entertaining and informative. The quality of the experience is equal to a $50 ticket at Centennial Hall. Pack a picnic dinner to enjoy before the show on one of the university's shaded lawns for a truly memorable evening.
