Best Mischief-Maker

John Kromko

READERS' PICK: Although former County Supervisor Ed Moore turned him--literally and figuratively--into a clown during a 1992 campaign for the Board of Supervisors, John Kromko proved he's still a wily political operator earlier this year, when he led the team that knocked down the city's million-buck-plus pitch for a hazardous transportation plan. It was a short-lived comeback for the eight-term state lawmaker, who lost his bid to return to the Arizona Legislature a few weeks ago. Too bad--that loony bin at the Capitol deserves him.
