We finally split up the African and Middle Eastern categories (no, we're not sure why we didn't do that before either), so Zayna gets to take the title in this inaugural honorific. You might have missed Zayna driving down Speedway, but this space has hosted several great restaurants (Feast and the late, lamented La Fonda once upon a time) and Zayna holds up that tradition with delicious falafel, incredible hummus and – surprisingly- a tart, flavorful take on French fries.
