Often imitated but never matched: Since the early 1990s, this long-running series of audience favorites has churned out sequels around town to offer cheap and quick tortas, tacos, burritos, combination plates and a thrilling roster of breakfast burritos-big and hearty, they prepare Sonoran Desert denizens for a grueling day under the sun. Almost everything on the menu is under $5. But rockin' our world most of all is the carne asada soft taco, which is ridiculously cheap but consists of a monster mound of grilled beef, onions, cilantro and a touch of guacamole, piled on top of two corn tortillas. Fill up one tortilla; munch it down, and what falls off is enough for the second. Que bueno!
