Yes, yes, they like to remind us over there that they are "on our side," and while monikers are always a good idea in this business, once in a while a few stars really shine at KGUN reminding us, well, yeah, maybe they are on our side. While veterans in the local broadcast business seem to be disappearing, it's comforting to see Guy Atchley still on the little screen, and there are gems, too, like Valarie Cavazos, who has done some solid work at the station bringing heart-felt news and still practicing good old-fashioned broadcast storytelling and reporting.
