For the sale and care of all things sparkly, Tucson has looked to the Silverberg family for about three-quarters of a century. This mom-and-pop jewelry shop proudly displays their selection of original and prefabricated pieces in a Broadway and Craycroft storefront complete with an armed guard that feels like something of a cross between a bank and a law office. If you've ever heard the term "overdraft fee" outside the context of a joke over a lobster dinner, the price tags may make you shiver. And despite the family name, the company does not work with silver. But there is something to be said for their gold and platinum craftsmanship. One tip: Dress up a little before dropping in to guarantee a warm welcome.
