Any place that wins a Best of Tucson® category five years in a row is legit. Not only is the food at this fast-casual Japanese restaurant truly fantastic; it's also good for you. Using the freshest ingredients and organics whenever possible (and no MSG), the staff here creates some damn good grub. The squid salad is so fantastic that we recommend ordering two. We also like the fried oysters, the takikomi brown rice and fried ginger tofu—and that's just for starters. This is one place where a big menu really seems to work. Yoshimatsu offers rice bowls, curries and noodle soups; the choices are almost endless and all very, very good. Of course, sushi is offered in the funky front dining room and the more sedate sushi lounge.
