Yoshimatsu features healthy Japanese cuisine and has a vegetarian menu palatable for vegan diners to back it up. However, what may set this midtown favorite apart is the absolutely unique atmosphere found inside its walls. A plethora of Japanese pop art and other curios fill the room, and we mean more than just Hello Kitty. The television usually runs honest-to-goodness Japanese shows that may leave you scratching your head. Yoshimatsu is a counter-service restaurant that feels like it isn't and is a good addition to the many Japanese restaurants in Tucson. If anything, visit it for the museum-like qualities it has--but you'll probably like the food, too.
