It's not every day you can walk into a former Coco's and be instantly transported to Japan. Yoshimatsu gets everything right--from the zen-and-cartoon décor (plenty of bamboo and dolls in frames or hanging from the ceiling) to the incredible array of menu options. If it weren't for the scenery outside, you'd swear you were somewhere in Tokyo. Big, steaming bowls of udon or soba noodles are served full of fresh vegetables, and the sushi bar, also known as Sushimatsu, is a whole other dining experience unto itself. Yoshimatsu's happy-hour specials are amazing--including half-price sushi rolls, beers and sake--and you can wash it all down with your choice of green tea.
