People sometimes complain to us that they're too scared to come downtown, but the only thing that worries us is the temptation to get a scoop of Hub ice cream every time we're on Congress Street. The line-up of house-made flavors changes on a regular basis, but there's a lot to love beyond the standard chocolate and vanilla: Asphalt was a rocky-road spinoff dedicated to the ongoing street construction downtown; Honey Cornbread tastes just like soul food; and Grandpa's Breakfast features waffles, maple syrup, bacon and scotch. Now if there was just some magic way to make all the calories vanish ... .
