These are the "O.M.G.!" of Tucson fish tacos. The awe begins with the crumbly corn tortillas, fresh from the griddle. These tortillas literally melt in your mouth. On top is a just-right stack of one-and one-half-inch pieces of fish, topped with a just-right amount of cabbage and a drizzle of creamy sauce. If you love it hot, try adding the house-made red chile sauce, as creamy as it is fiery. No need to fear that sauce will soggy up that fried fish. For no longer than it will take you to finish eating, the coating, barely thicker than tempura, stays crunchy and hot. Remarkably, you never hit a bready spot. Beware the beautiful carrot garnish! Your mouth may need years of conditioning to handle the heat. Next time try the shrimp tacos, and the ceviche tosdada, or the spicy and delicious shrimp or fish soup.
