Maya Palace/Zoe Boutique

Sumptuous yet ... complicated. Who knew so much could be done with denim, rivets, leather and tassels? And that's just one (Work and Casual) of the several lines offered by local institution Maya Palace. There is also Fun and Festive—with quite literal parties in the form of outfits—and their innovative wedding selections, which include everything from lace and Victorian boots to "an ultra simple, yet elegant, bustier with matching skirt." And where else can you find so many turquoise-encrusted accoutrements outside of Santa Fe?

When it comes to vintage and high-end boutiques, Zoe has the best of both worlds. The two-room Fourth Avenue shop has a little bit of everything—Tarina Tarantino jewelry, vintage shoes, bags and tops (a recent trip revealed a vintage Oscar de la Renta blouse), designer lingerie and pieces from the boutique owner's own line, Pigeon. Whether you're a vintage-inspired flower child or a modern fashionista, Zoe Boutique has something for the shopaholic in everyone.
