How I Learned to Drive by Live Theatre Workshop

There are few joys more satisfying than seeing a theater production that delivers the whole package—a fearless script, thoughtful direction, sensitive performances and courageous emotional honesty on all levels. Thank you, Live Theatre Workshop, for your How I Learned to Drive. Holli Thenhaus and Keith Wick led the way with their heartbreaking portrayals in this story of an uncle who sexually abuses his niece. But the wrenching story could not have been told without the "Greek Chorus," as playwright Paula Vogel calls them. Amanda Gremel, David Alexander Johnston and Rhonda Hallquist excelled in taking on all kinds of roles, seamlessly making their way in and out of the action without a hiccup. This was a top-notch crew who gave us a top-notch experience.
