Located deep in the Santa Catalina Mountains just northeast of Tucson, Rose Canyon Lake is a serene paradise and a great way to cool off from the hellish heat of summer. If the drive up to Mount Lemmon isn't enough to tantalize you, the lake offers fishing opportunities, the tall trees will trick you into thinking you're somewhere in the Alps, and the gorgeous views don't even need an Instagram filter (though if you can't live without one, we recommend "Rise" or "Valencia").
