Best Of Tucson®

Best Bookstore for New Books

These are not easy days for bookstores—we can scarcely count the beloved shops in Tucson that have vanished over the last two decades—but Antigone's is still thriving on Fourth Avenue. (Blessings be to the goddess!) While it started out with a feminist focus, Antigone's has expanded its collection to carry a wide selection of fiction and non-fiction, along with great independent CDs, exotic chocolates, stylish handbags and much more. The store hosts regular readings for local and visiting authors, making it a haven for our literary community. And if you can't find a book on the shelves, Antigone's will be happy to order it for you.
