Best Book Festival (Duh)

Tucson Festival of Books

Staff Pick

Each year, the Tucson Festival of Books brings in hundreds of authors from near and far. The number of choices for attendees—of tents to visit, of authors to see, and, of course, of books to read—is wonderfully overwhelming. Thanks to oodles of volunteers, the festival is always a good time, with food, live music and literacy-promoting kids' activities everywhere. Locals have started marking the March weekend on our calendars, and literature-lovers have started marking the TFOB as a mandatory stop on their tour schedules. It's good for Tucson to be known for something like this—for opening minds and expanding horizons. It's a celebration of what we, as a city, stand for.

(Sorry, no information is currently available for other years in this same award category.)
