Best Bird Watching

Albertson's Grocery Store

STAFF PICK: It's not the roadside pullout near Patagonia that environmentalists are trying to protect, nor the aviaries at either the Desert Museum or the local zoo. No, we prefer the cool comfort of watching a few feathery fliers occasionally zooming above our heads at one of our favorite grocery stores, the Albertson's at Campbell Avenue and Glenn Street. Not only can you avoid all that messy stuff in nature, like rain, heat and bugs, but you can shop for things ranging from sushi to succotash while keeping an eye on the birds. Just our idea of natural perfection.
