Mount Lemmon

Mountains are meant for climbing—and for the especially hardy, you can take a trail up Sabino Canyon to the pine forest atop Mount Lemmon. But if you're not that hardy, it's just a 45-minute drive up to some great hiking paths like Butterfly and Meadow trails. But no matter what kind of workout you're up for, you know that once you start putting one foot in front of the other, that mountain is going to readjust your attitude, especially about mid-August. Just make sure you're not trying to do it while a monsoon thunderstorm is rolling in.
