Re: “TUSD Rejects Freedom Center's High School Course

Read the book,"Democracy In Chains", and you will understand completely the Koch's motives for trying to undermine the Public Education System in the United States. Like "ALL" Republicans and Libertarians they intend to destroy or manipulate public education to wrest it out of the federal government's hands. After the Supreme Court decision in 1954 Brown Vs the Board of Education
conservatives in Virginia shut down the public schools for 5 years rather than allow integration into their pristine all white schools. Also in the Koch's gun sights are Social Security , Medicare, Medicaid, and the U.S. Postal system. Their intent is to weaken the federal government to a shell of it's former power , give each state more power to regulate it's own affairs, and reduce taxes on the wealthy so that none of their money is used for the greater good. In other words, an Oligarchy where the wealthy
make all the decisions and if the peons live or die don't make it their problem. Kochs are the bullies of the world trying to make us play the game their way or not at all. If you utilize the Public Education
System, enjoy your Social Security income, need Medicare or Medicaid, and want your mail to consistently arrive at a nominal cost remember them next time you vote. Democrats started all of these programs and Republicans are determined to destroy them.

Re: “Ice Melt Slows Global Warming But Speeds Sea Level Rise

What the world needs is another cataclysmic volcanic eruption that clouds the earth from the sun for several years to replace the polar icecaps and the glaciers. Then we can resume polluting the earth to our hearts content .

Re: “Yes, a Democrat Won a U.S. Senate Seat in Arizona!

Sinema's win is the best political news I've heard since 2015. That being said I think the Pima County voters need to be educated concerning Bond issues. They don't seem to comprehend that Bonds are not going to be a direct tax on the individual taxpayer nor a sales tax and Pima Country would have benefited with better roads from the bonds. Some times what you don't know can hurt you and this is a perfect example of it.

Re: “MORE UPDATED NUMBERS: Sinema Now Leading McSally By 9,610 Votes in AZ Senate Race; Guess What Other Dem Might Win Statewide Office?

Republicans encourage the Green Party to run a candidate and will gladly offer a person to head that party because they know that Green will never win but will take votes away from the lead Democrat .
If the Green Party is allowed on the ballot then the Libertarian Party should also be there. "What's good for the goose is also good.......

Re: “Being Jewish, Watching the Rise Of Antisemitism

If the people who were murdered attending the Synagogue in Pittsburgh had been walking in the street the shooter wouldn't have known if they were Jewish or not because they look like all of us. Many of the people in Europe who didn't come to the aid of the persecuted Jewish citizens there wound up being killed by the Nazis as well. When we allow extreme thuggery to exist and we turn a blind eye to it not only are we as guilty as the perpetrators of the crimes but many of us also become the victims as well. Are you an American with integrity, humanity, and compassion. Then why are you not outraged , enraged, and demanding that our political leaders act more responsibly and demand an end to the persecutions that continue to plague our society. "I'm sorry for your loss" is such a cliche that I want to puke when I hear some prominent person utter those words. The man that killed those Jewish people should be executed by broad ax in public where it can be witnessed. I would pay to see his demise. People who want to forgive these murdering monsters should keep their mouths shut. If the killer had his way he would still be killing as many Jewish citizens as he could. He doesn't deserve one iota of pity.

Re: “The Arizona Supreme Court Joins Republicans' Zero Tolerance Policy for Citizen Initiatives

Arizona could go the way of Kansas, whose idiot in charge has now taken a position in the Trump catastrophe. Ex-Governor , Sam Brownback, who cut Kansas taxes to the bone and then to the marrow left Kansas so far in the red it looked like Trump Casino profits. Teachers fled Kansas like Russians leaving Trump Tower when Mueller showed up. Now Kansans are willing to let anybody that has finished high school teach their kids rather than not have any education at all. When it comes to a showdown between big business and public education you can bet your ass that Republicans are putting their money behind business. By the way, spell supreme with a small "s" because in Arizona they don't deserve any respect in their partisan shenanigans.

Re: “Charter Communications Officer Makes Nice In an Op Ed, But Tells a Few Stretchers

"Charter Schools " is a Republican creation to steal public money and put it in private hands. Republicans are content to take baby steps with their incremental dismantling of current government protocols to achieve their long range goals and they are persistent and determined. By privatizing every aspect of our current bureaucratically controlled system they can undermine the individual by eliminating unions, declaring the minimum wage as unconstitutional, decide which students to allow in their system, and establishing their own brand of distorted views of history and science. The perfect example of my argument is Diane Douglas who advocates teaching intelligent design along with actual science classes. This Republican mentality has been happening since the Supreme Court case of Brown VS the Board of Education in the 1950's. When the court demanded that schools be completely integrated the conservatives in southern states were enraged and ready to scorch the earth with their hatred. That's when the movement started and Republicans worked in secret for every gain they could make. Now the Supreme Court, the Senate, the House of Representatives, the White House and most state governments are controlled by Republicans. Now maybe you can understand why Republicans were more than happy to allow Russia to assist in the 2016 elections.
