That's a pretty hefty judgment on your part there, not to be a dick but. That's a TOTAL dick comment. Some of us wouldn't be able to come up with that money for ourselves either. Having been a pet owner my whole life until this last couple years, I would only donate for this surgery if the owners who didn't have the money were going to be able to keep the dog. I think this situation is just awful.
Funny thing, imaginary borders and ignorance are a horrible combination for humanity. Then welfare comes up as part of the convo. Welfare... I work and pay taxes and receive food stamps and free medical care. So I guess that means that I, and at least four others I know are paying for our own welfare... And I'd love to see something besides hate out of tea baggers... I have yet to meet one I like. Judgment and anger are just not attractive to anyone except other haters. This ridiculous answer to helping children is reprehensible. I think guns need to be set aside and let people have the space to use brains instead. Am I dreaming? Or is it possible to get air to ignorant brains and create thoughtful intercourse?
Pima Mujer, one reason is that we sane people don't want to deal with the politics of politics. It's hard to find intelligent, honest, caring people willing to do the almost completely thankless job of public service. Was just having this conversation with a friend down here in Bisbee about her turning down the invitation to run for city council. There are two types of people taking office: those few caring, intelligent, honest folk willing to take the beating and those power-hungry morons like this Sup.
Why does everything have to be "if you try to harm me, I will shoot you?" Ffs Theo of you just said if you attempt bodily harm it's perfectly expected and normal to respond with deafly force. I live on the border. The violence is ridiculous. I live with border patrol vehicles attempting to run residents down just because they are out walking. It is most certainly an abuse of power and not all of the violence they perpetrate in the name of the government is in response to anything but a whim. Shooting a child is NOT an appropriate response to him throwing a rock. Ever.
