Beer Gives Back

The third annual Arizona Gives Day, hosted by Watershed Management Group, is upon us again. The day helps to raise funds for local non-profits who find their support declining in the months after the holiday season. Just as importantly, it reminds us to give back to our communities in whatever ways we can. Borderlands Brewing Company, 119 E. Toole Ave., will host a special happy hour on Tuesday, April 7, from 5 p.m. to, officially, 9 p.m., but the celebration may well continue later into the night. A portion of the money raised from drink sales will be donated to the fundraising efforts across Arizona. Borderlands is bringing in musician Ky Burt to add some festivity and will have the Bam Bam Truck serving up a fusion of Mexican Asian cuisine to hungry guests, making a bona fide party of the giving hour. There is no admission cost. Check out the event's Facebook page for more info.
