Come check out the new work by local artist Alexandra Gjurasic at the Joel D. Valdez Main Library (101 N. Stone Ave.) beginning on May 1 and continuing through the rest of the month. The work is based on the "beautiful mutant of the Sonoran Desert," the crested saguaro cactus. A reception will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 7, in the Children's Meeting Room.
