Bears of the Old Pueblo 

When: Fri., Feb. 25, 6:30 p.m., Wed., March 2, 7 p.m. and Sat., March 12, 2:30 p.m. 2011
Bears of the Old Pueblo, a social group for big men and their admirers with big hearts, meet for coffee and conversation from 7 to 9 p.m., every Wednesday, at Safehouse (4024 E. Speedway Blvd). The group meets for drinks and socializing from 6:30 to 8 p.m., most Fridays, at Shelter (4155 E. Grant Road). A potluck and business meeting take place from 2:30 to 4 p.m., the second Saturday of each month at the Ward 6 Council Office (3202 E. First St.). The group also meets for dinner at a different local restaurant from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., the third Thursday of each month. Movie nights take place almost every month; notices are posted to members, interested parties and on Facebook. "Like" Bears of the Old Pueblo on Facebook for news of the community and to learn about additional events as they are scheduled. All events are free; meals, drinks and tickets at cost.
