Beads of Courage Beads in Space

An exhibit of artist-decorated glass beads that traveled on NASA's Atlantis space shuttle in 2010, and the space shuttle's Endeavor mission in 2011, is open to the public from 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, Sept. 14; free. The beads' space trips promoted awareness of childhood cancer through Beads of Courage, an organization that supports children with cancer by providing opportunities to express themselves through art.
