In the 80's AZ Greens organized on a platform calling for drug reform and adopting of a harm reduction policy. It was an civil liberty and environmental stand for a peaceful solution as opposed to the escalating violence in the streets, flood of cocaine and development of crack, and scourge of AIDS epidemic as result of interdiction policy of the drug war. Even if we did marched a giant joint into the organizing conference in Eugene Oregon, woke them up, and demanded drug reform be written into the National Green Party platform, "our giant joint clearly displayed the benefits of hemp/marijuana. I would say it was never just about the right to smoke pot.…
