I am only 12 years old and I love going to see the elephants and Reid park zoo. It is very sad to even think that Connie will be leaving us soon. Connie and Shaba have been friends for 30 years now and they should not have to be taken away from each other. I am sure no one would like to be taken away from their good friend that they have know for 30 years. And if Connie has to leave us then farewell Connie I will miss you and I hope you will come back to see your dear friend Shaba again someday. I am sure lots of us will miss Connie this is a sad time for all of us.
I feel that Reid Park Zoo was very deceitful in getting Tucsonians to help fund their zoo expansion! It really hurts me to see that Reid Park Zoo is separating their elephants after people poured money into the expansion in order to keep them together. They treat their animals like commodities and have no feelings towards their well-being. I just can't support this zoo anymore.
