B-Sides: Sound + Noise

THE AURAL ARTS

Not to gush, but the Museum of Contemporary Art (265 S. Church Ave.) has kind of been killing it lately with their events scheduling. With movie screenings, pool parties and local bands all on display alongside visual arts, the museum is establishing itself as a place for art of any kind and drawing in the community in inventive ways. On Tuesday, Nov. 17, that trend is carried through with a unique concert experience called Sound + Noise. Five experimental musicians will be on view in the Great Hall for the evening, challenging any preconceived notions you might harbor about what live music should be. The night's line-up will include locals like altrice, Ryan Chavira, Eric Schlappi and Young Trucker, as well as R.ariel from Phoenix.

The Sound + Noise exhibit kicks off at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 for non-members and the event is free of MOCA members. For more information on this and other MOCA events, visit the museum's website at www.moca-tucson.org.
