Although the industry-defying, rebellious antics of Death Grips get the Sacramento trio a lot of attention, it's worth saying that they certainly weren't the ones to start mixing the worlds of rap and noise music into a fuzzy, intense, industrial mash of sound and attitude. In fact, Moodie Black, formerly of the Grand Canyon state, was doing it before Death Grips donned album covers with their own, well, members. So, if you're into that sort of thing, you'll want to head to The Rock (136 N. Park Ave.) on Thursday, May 19. The show kicks off at 6 p.m. with five openers. It is an all ages event.
