SOUL AT SOLAR

Engineer, producer, multi-instrumentalist and music video director Christian Berishaj has attracted a lot of attention for his completely self-made music project called JMSN, which is pronounced like the Irish whiskey. I mention the whiskey because his penchant for making beats and classic R&B singing style is smooth and gets you in the mood just like the booze he shares his name with. Now with two records under his belt, JMSN has proven his ability to churn out sultry slow jams and has even been featured vocally on a few Kendrick Lamar tracks—see: "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe."

You can get down to JMSN this Saturday, May 16 at Solar Culture Gallery, located at 31 E. Toole Ave. Tickets for the show are $10 in advance via (www.rialtotheatre.com) or $12 at the door the day of. The show starts at 9 p.m. and doors are at 8 p.m. It is an all ages event.
