B-Sides: Happy Diving

POSITIVE FEEDBACK

Screeching, fuzzy, distorted and moody as hell, Oakland's Happy Diving offers a whole lot of attitude on their newest LP Electric Soul Unity. Released via Topshelf Records, the 12-song set shifts from melancholic, mellow moments to full-on musical temper tantrums to bouncy punk-inspired jams, with plenty of feedback dispersed throughout. On Wednesday, July 27, you can catch the band live, joined by locals Mute Swan and Ryan Chavira, at Club Congress. The show starts at 8 p.m. and cover is $5 at the door. It is a 16 and over event.
