To quote Allen Ginsberg's "Footnote to Howl," "Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy!" OK, so take away about 13 "holies" and you have the name of the supergroup formed from former David Bowie backing musicians, including drummer Woody Woodmansey and Tony Visconti on bass. Holy Holy is making a Tucson stop to perform Bowie's 1970 The Man Who Sold the World record in its entirety, along with other classics from the dearly departed Thin White Duke.
You can check out the eight-piece act following their Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall Bowie tribute shows in Tucson at the Fox Theatre (17 W. Congress St.). The band performs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 21 with doors at 6:30 p.m. Tickets range in price from $27 to $84 (with a $2 price increase for day of sales).
