The border in southern Arizona remains open and out of control for purely political purposes! The real answer is a secure, enforced social security card as the nation's sole work authorization document. NOT a national ID, a work authorization document!
Lacking that, expensive multiple fences and stadium lighting has indeed secured the problematic border south of San Diego.
Your congressional representatives REFUSE to take action as the working horde crossing that border represents cheap, benefit-free labor for their business contributors!
Your senators tread political water on the issue in fear of losing some imaginary Hispanic vote. Prior representatives did the same and your present local members of the lower house do nothing to solve the issue. Why? Obvious to me, but you re-elected them!
This explosive issue will not go away until an informed electorate takes a stand. Meanwhile, enjoy that controlled, secure border!
