Architecture Week 2014

Saturday, Oct. 4, 9 a.m.

As part of Architecture Week 2014, the American Institute of Architects' Southern Arizona Chapter and Living Streets Alliance have a weekend of neighborhood and structure-loving events for Tucson. On Saturday, Oct. 4, 9 a.m. is a home tour of the Mercado District development next to the Mercado San Agustin, 100 S. Avenida Del Convento, in the Menlo Park neighborhood on the Westside. Nine homes will be open for tours. Grab some coffee and breakfast, or lunch at the Mercado, while you tour the homes. Other tours planned that day include Barrio Libre, the newly restored Old Main on the UA campus and downtown Tucson. Registration for the tours is required and fees range from $35 to $15. The Mercado self-guided tour is $35 and includes a map, a Sun Link Modern Streetcar Day Pass and discounts to downtown restaurants and cafés.
