Ever thought of adopting a pet from a local shelter, but were intimidated by the process? Adopt Local, Adopt Love's mega-adoption event will create a family-friendly environment for would-be adopters to connect with local shelters and rescues. On Saturday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tucson Expo Center, 3750 E. Irvington Road, organizations will bring pets of every breed, age and background in hopes of increasing and raising awareness for adoption. Vendor booths will offer pet-owners the tools they need to properly care for those they adopt. Throughout the day there will be entertainment for the community as Adopt Love, Adopt Local tries to reach their goal of finding every pet a happy, healthy home. The event is free. Check out the event's Facebook page for more information.
