Thank you for writing this. Most of the snuggliest pups that I know are the so-called "vicious" breeds--Rotties, Pits, Dobermans. When I visit my friend, my only concern about the pit bull is that he will knock me over as he jumps up to lick my face (he's been well-trained not to do it to most people, but for some reason, I'm the exception). In years of being around dogs, only one has ever bitten me-- a tiny terrier who weighed in at less than 10 lbs. Breeds aren't vicious (though some breeds will tend towards certain behaviors such as fetching, shepherding, or hunting), but they can become unmanageable or aggressive due to intentional or unintentional training by humans.
