    Re: “Hotel Heights
As a U of A alum who first arrived off an America West flight (or was it Southwest?) from Oakland in 1990, and been back a few times since I moved to Phoenix...not sure if I'll use this hotel either, unless I get a super sweet deal on Priceline. Can the Holiday Inn-Radisson owned by greedy HSL please reopen? Absolutely NOTHING wrong with that hotel. That was a cool hotel and an awesome value. Best room service breakfast ever. Friendly staff for the most part. Unacceptable that it is being left to rot because of basically a peeing contest between the city of Tucson and HSL. In general, I have mixed feelings about the gentrification/Austinization of downtown Tucson and the U of A. Happy to see amenities that frankly should have been there in the 90s (I was screaming for light rail in Tucson as a U of A student and people called me nuts, "Tucson's not ready for that," Tucson's not LA, Phoenix, or the Bay Area...) but at what price, now that I look back with nostalgia on a Tucson that's a long way past the rearview mirror?
