Re: “Police Dispatch

Dear Ana,

please follow this story thru it's conclusion. It would be interesting to see how the university justice system decides what to do with a student who seems to have had a bad few days, got dumped, did some stupid inappropriate things, and ripped up some
name tags and labels. Expulsion? Jail? keep us informed

Re: “Operation Stonegarden Funding Denied for Humanitarian Aid Reimbursement Costs

since we are, after all a sanctuary city, which makes some of our community feel really good about themselves, the resulting increases in crime, the homeless, and need for social services is not surprising. By the way sgs, the cages were built during the Obama administration. In a community of finite resources, I'd take the dough in a NY minute so that we can do good, not just feel good!

Re: “Danehy

the movie 'yesterday' is one of the worst Hollywood scam manipulations of recent history. For Boomers, our visceral reactions over 50 years ago to these 4 guys from Liverpool, was hopeful, fun, and fantastic. Some of it has aged quite well. To make a movie to reuse that experience was uncreative ( hey Dude?), derivative, and pretty much belongs on the scrap heap of other similar crap about Dylan and others. Did I mention how much it sucked?

Re: “Danehy

Nice try Tom Boy, gonna be a tough 5 years for Trump Haters, you on the other hadd can continue writing the same column about politics that you've written for the last 3+ years. You won't have to try to come up with anything different or original or use critical thinking. BTW what did you complain about during the Obama years again?

Re: “Chemical Lawfare

The movie Foxcatcher, about a rich deranged murderer of the du Pont de Nemours family, who supported collegiate wrestling programs, has absolutely nothing to do with the companies 'disposal' or operating methods. I don't condone or agree with the corporate practice from 1984, yet Dupont has more patents on improved quality of life products (carpeting, fire retardant materials, food packaging and cooling, nylon , to name a few) than just about anyone. Hollywood has done a number of these movies, erin brockovitch among others, that use the ole' corporations are nothing but greedy parasites motif' in a silly attempt at demonization, a little more to it than that, bob.

Re: “Where Have All The Teachers Gone? (Long Time Passing)

Not sure what to make of this article other than purchasing power and salaries have declined, housing costs have increased, for teachers ( as well as most blue collar jobs). It sucks , but are you a hero, a victim, or none of the above? How does having free will factor into it?

Re: “Movie Review: The Irishman

I mostly agree with your interview, but putting The wolf higher on your entertainment scale than this film is a misstep. The excesses of wall street trust funders, the performances of McConahey & Leonardo can't compare with a Hoffa scenario as performed with the dialogue, depth, silent looks, and acting chops of these 3 guys.
