"Sushi-lover", what we know in this country as "Sriracha sauce" was invented in this country by one particular immigrant and based on differing flavors from both all over southern asia and from the west. Much of what we think of as Sushi (certainly the rolls featuring avocado and spiced mayonnaise described here) were invented by immigrants in this country, drawing on a mix of eastern and western influences. Sounds like a good match to me
